A separate counter tracks additional Bonus symbols; three new collected Bonus symbols add Free Drops. An entry obtained on an expanded board thus truly keeps its value.

The Super Bonus uses this structure on the maximum 8×8 grid. Here, upgrades advance all four amber colours instead of just one, accelerating the rise in values.
