MAQUINAS TRAGAPERRAS
Treasures of the Dead, also presented under the name Treasures of the Dead HyperLines, is a Lucksome slot machine. Some databases categorise it under Blueprint, but the product sources consulted attribute the game to Lucksome. The 8Fortuna review therefore retains this provider, with a note of caution regarding catalogue distribution.
The game was released around 16 March 2023. It is played on a 5x3 grid, with 10 classic lines and 3 HyperLines. The observed RTP varies depending on the source between 96.20% and 96.21%, with medium-high volatility and an announced maximum win of up to 15,000x.
What the sources confirm
The iGamingBusiness review presents Treasures of the Dead HyperLines as a Lucksome release, with 5 reels, 13 lines in total, a theoretical RTP of 96.20% and medium-high volatility. AboutSlots and an operator rulebook confirm the 10 lines + 3 HyperLines logic, the Wild Scatter, free spins and the RTP around 96.21%.

HyperLines: the real subject of the review
The base resembles a classic Egyptian adventure slot, but the HyperLines change the reading. By collecting scarabs, the game can activate three additional lines. An active HyperLine applies a multiplier to the line concerned and remains active until a win is recorded on it.
It is this point that prevents Treasures of the Dead from being reduced to a simple book slot clone. The Wild also serves as a Scatter, can bring scarabs, and therefore becomes central: it can participate in wins, trigger free spins and feed the progress of the HyperLines.
Free spins, expanding symbol and caution
The free spins are triggered with 3 or more Wild Scatters. Before the feature, a special symbol can be chosen as the expanding symbol. During the bonus, the HyperLines are active and can add a layer of multiplier to standard wins.
The promise of 15,000x is attractive, but it comes with medium-high volatility. This means that players must accept dry spells and not confuse maximum potential with frequency. To test the game, it is best to start with the demo or with a low stake, especially if the casino offers a very expensive Bonus Buy.
Our quick opinion
Treasures of the Dead is especially interesting for players who like book slots but want a mechanic that is a bit richer than the free spins + expanding symbol pattern. The HyperLines give a real reason to follow what is happening to the left and right of the grid.
To compare with a more recent and very different review, take a look at Treats of Terror. For a much more minimalist game, Tree of Riches serves as a good contrast. The slot machine hub and the best online casinos page remain the useful entry points to navigate the catalogue.
