GOKKASTEN
Sanctuary is a Big Time Gaming slot with an Egyptian theme, featuring a design inspired by the musical universe of The Cult. The official BTG page confirms the game, the 4,096 ways, Full Reel Wilds, the Purple Wild x8, the Free Spins Gamble, Win Exchange, and Bonus Buy.
The original source line mentioned another provider, but the slug, description, and official page clearly point towards Big Time Gaming. The RTP, bet, date, and max win figures are retained by cross-referencing Bigwinboard, SlotsLaunch, and AboutSlots, as the official page mainly displays them via statistical visuals.
Sanctuary is not a Megaways: the base is built on 6 reels, 4 rows, and 4,096 ways. The core of the game sheet is therefore less about line variation and more about how wilds and Free Spins can multiply the active grids.
What we actually know
Reliable secondary sources converge on the main values: release on 22 November 2023, RTP 96.38%, High volatility, bet 0.10-20, and potential 44,070x. Big Time Gaming, for its part, confirms the core mechanics.

Wilds and base game
The base game is played on a fixed 6x4 grid. Full Reel Wilds can appear on reels 2 to 5. The purple Wild is the most important: when it contributes to a win, it applies a x8 multiplier.
This approach makes the base game more straightforward than a cascading slot. It is mainly a matter of watching the position of the full reel wilds and their ability to cross multiple paylines. This is also why Bigwinboard identifies a base game potential that is lower than the total potential of the Free Spins.
Free Spins Gamble
The Free Spins feature starts with 7 Free Spins. According to BTG, the Free Spins Gamble can allow the feature to be played on up to 4 video slots grids simultaneously. As the number of grids increases, the theoretical potential rises, but the gamble also introduces a clear risk.
During the Free Spins, Ankh symbols can become Sticky Wilds on reels 2 to 5. When four Sticky Wilds land on the same reel, they transform into a full reel wild x4 and award extra free spins.
Win Exchange and Bonus Buy
Win Exchange allows certain wins to be converted into a chance to enter the Free Spins. Bigwinboard also indicates a Bonus Buy at 80x in jurisdictions where the option is available. These are powerful features, but they change the risk profile of a session.
The key point to remember is simple: Sanctuary has a decent RTP, but high volatility and features that can prompt the player to gamble their winnings back into play. It is better to consider Win Exchange as an aggressive option, not as a mandatory step.
Player vigilance
The RTP of 96.38% is solid, but Sanctuary remains a High volatility slot. The potential of 44,070x comes mainly from the combination of multiple Free Spins grids, sticky wilds, and multipliers. Sessions can therefore seem long before a real opportunity presents itself.
Before playing with real money, you should also check the version opened by the operator: Bonus Buy, Win Exchange, and RTP can vary depending on the country, casino, or local rules.
Our quick opinion
Sanctuary will appeal mainly to players who enjoy Big Time Gaming slots with high potential and tense bonus rounds. The game is less chaotic than a pure Megaways, but the Free Spins on multiple grids and the Purple Wild x8 can deliver real spikes in variance.
To compare this BTG style, take a look at Trigger Happy, The Race, Temple Quest Spinfinity, Star Clusters, or Slot Vegas Fully Loaded. The slot machine hub, the best online casinos, and the online casinos France page will then help to put the game in context when choosing a casino.
