GOKKASTEN
Thunderstruck is the original slot machine in the saga, historically released by Microgaming and today classified in the Games Global catalogue across several gaming databases. The GMBLRS sheet documents a release on 16/10/2003, a 5x3 grid, 9 lines, and an RTP of 96.10%.
The game is much simpler than its sequels. It relies on Thor, a Wild symbol, scatters, and then 15 free spins with a 3x multiplier. The initial description mentioned another supplier, but cross-referenced sources clearly point to the former Microgaming / Games Global block.
What the sources cross-reference
GMBLRS provides the most complete block: origin Microgaming, 5 reels, 3 rows, 9 paylines, RTP 96.10%, bets 0.09 to 45.00, and potential 3333x. SlotCatalog cross-references the catalogue provider Games Global, the RTP 96.1%, and the 9 lines/betways. The Betway RTP PDF also cross-references Thunderstruck at 96.10%.

Wild, Scatter and free spins
Thunderstruck is a classic line slot. Wins are more readable than in the sequels with 243 ways or multiple features: you activate the lines, look for the high-value symbols, and the scatters trigger the free spins bonus.
The important point is the combination of 15 free spins and a 3x multiplier. Retriggers can extend the sequence, giving the game its true value window. The Wild helps on the lines, but you should not expect the density of Wild Storm or Multi-Chase found in more modern sequels.
A drier classic than its sequels
The main interest of Thunderstruck is historical: it establishes the Thor universe before Thunderstruck II, Thunderstruck Wild Lightning and Thunderstruck Stormchaser. It does not have the same depth of bonuses as the sequels, but it has the advantage of being immediately straightforward.
Points to watch
The volatility is not perfectly uniform across sources: GMBLRS indicates High, while SlotCatalog indicates Med. In both cases, the game remains dependent on triggering free spins and retriggers, so it should not be viewed as a slot for constant small wins.
The cross-referenced RTP is 96.10%. Before playing for real money, always open the casino's information screen to confirm the exact version, active lines, bet limits, and local rules.
Our quick opinion
Thunderstruck is mostly worth it for players who want to understand the foundation of the series. It is direct, dated in its structure, but useful for seeing where the sequels come from. If you are looking for more depth, Thunderstruck II or the Stormcraft titles will be richer.
