Razor Shark is an underwater slot game launched by Push Gaming in 2019. Its 5-reel, 4-row grid uses 20 paylines and centres the action around Mystery Stacks, Golden Sharks and the Razor Reveal feature.
Its colourful world remains easy to read, but the pace is much more energetic than it seems. Mystery stacks can turn an ordinary spin into a sequence of nudges, multipliers or scatters, with a high volatility profile.
Razor Shark Atmosphere and Symbols
The grid plunges into a tropical reef setting. The orange, purple, green and blue sharks form the premium symbols, while the camera, goggles, flippers and oxygen tank complete the more common values.
Mystery Stacks take the form of stacks of four symbols. When they come into play, they move down one position with each nudge and can reveal paying symbols, scatters or Golden Sharks. It is this mechanic that gives Razor Shark its identity.

Razor Reveal and Golden Sharks
Golden Sharks trigger the Razor Reveal. Mystery Symbols then transform into mini-reels and can display instant multipliers ranging from 1x to 2,500x, or even scatters. Multiple golden sharks can therefore quickly increase the value of a sequence.
This feature works as a bridge between the base game and the free spins: it can yield a direct win, enrich the mystery stacks or help gather the symbols needed for the bonus.
Free Games and Progressive Multipliers
Three scatters trigger the Free Games. During this bonus, reels 2 and 4 are filled with Mystery Symbols that move down one space with each spin. Each nudge increases the multipliers applied to wins, which can extend and amplify the sequence.
Razor Shark therefore does not rely on a multitude of mini-games: its appeal comes from the chain reaction between mystery stacks, Golden Sharks, Razor Reveal and progressive multipliers. The gameplay remains easy to understand, but the results can be highly volatile.
How Does a Spin Work?
Each spin uses the 20 active lines. A combination is formed when identical symbols land on a line starting from the first reel. Mystery Stacks can then shift downwards and alter the initial result without requiring any extra action from the player.
Before spinning the reels, simply select your bet and check the paytable. Autoplay may be available depending on the casino, but it changes neither the RTP nor the probabilities. The version information displayed within the game always takes priority.
RTP, Volatility and Getting Started
Two RTP configurations are available, at 96.70% and 94.06%. The active version depends on the casino and must be checked in the game's information screen. High volatility implies quieter phases between major feature activations.
To discover the series, compare Razor Shark with Razor Ways, Razor Returns and Tiki Tumble. The Push Gaming page and the slots hub allow you to explore the rest of the catalogue.
Our Opinion on Razor Shark
Razor Shark remains a classic from Push Gaming thanks to a recognisable core mechanic and a bonus round that builds progressively in intensity. Its main asset is the consistency between the theme, mystery stacks and Razor Reveal; its highly volatile profile will suit players who are comfortable with an irregular pace.
