Highlander, an iconic film

Highlander (released on 7 March 1986) is an action film directed by Russell Mulcahy. The story follows Connor MacLeod, an immortal 16th-century Scotsman, who must face other immortals in an age-old battle where "there can be only one".

With Christopher Lambert (Connor), Sean Connery (Ramirez) and Clancy Brown (Kurgan), the film blends action, romance and mythology. A cult success, it spawned sequels, series and a durable franchise despite a modest initial box office.

Highlander is a slot machine that operates on a 5 x 3 grid, with 243 paylines in total. Combinations are read in the classic way, with symbols reading from left to right.

The RTP of this slot machine (Return to Player) is 96.2%. This is a profitable slot machine. As a reminder, slot machines generally pay out between 94% and 96%. Highlander is therefore slightly more interesting than average.

The minimum bet is 40 euro cents, for a maximum bet of 30 euros. The maximum win will be a multiplier coefficient of x3416, for a maximum jackpot of around 102,500 euros.

The different symbols of the Highlander slot machine

The symbols of the Highlander slot machine can be divided into two segments with, on one side, "classic" symbols, which are actually card symbols, ranging from 10 to Ace (10, J, Q, K, A). These are the symbols that appear most often on the game grid. They are also the least rewarding symbols.

We also find what we can call "Premium" symbols. These symbols take the form of the main characters of the film:

• Heather, Connor MacLeod's wife.

• Brenda Wyatt, the police officer.

• The Kurgan.

To complete this point, you can read SpinGranny reviews.

• MacLeod (in the 16th century).

• Russell Nash (MacLeod in the present day).

These are the most rewarding symbols. They are also the symbols that appear least often on the game grid.

Wilds and scatters symbols are also offered in the game. They respectively take the form of the Highlander logo and Connor MacLeod's sword.

Bonuses and features of this slot machine

Discover the different bonuses and features of this slot machine.

scatters and Wilds

In the main version of the game (starting grid), if you obtain two scatters symbols, they transform into Wilds. They then allow you to create winning combinations since they take the form of any other missing symbol in the game.

Free spins

If you obtain three scatter symbols, you can get 10 free spins. The scenery then changes and you are sent "into the future", as in the film, moreover.

During this "Free Spins" game mode, you will be able to benefit from another boost, that of the Quickening Wilds. This is lightning, which can strike to hit the reels and transform certain symbols into Wilds.

Unfortunately, there are not many game options and bonuses on this slot machine. The options offered and available are quite basic. This remains compensated by unique gameplay (especially sound level), a high RTP and finally, a fairly large total multiplier.

A slot machine to discover in demo mode
