A well-known provider in the online casino universe, NetEnt has recently adapted Planet of the Apes into a slot machine that our teams took the time to test. An immersive slot machine, which irremediably recalls the universe of this saga that has made thousands of people dream across the world.

NetEnt, an exceptional iGaming provider

NetEnt has made a specialty of adapting certain film franchises into slot machines. Recently, this provider has launched Jumanji, Dracula or even The Invisible Man. With Planet of the Apes, this online casino provider thus confirms its expertise.

What is the Planet of the Apes slot machine?

The Planet of the Apes slot machine by NetEnt works on the basis of a 3x5 grid, for a total of 30 paylines. Its distinct feature? Two separate game sections, independent of each other, the Rise part and the Dawn part.

These two parts are actually very freely inspired by two of the first films of the trilogy: Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Each game section has 20 paylines.

The symbols of the Planet of the Apes slot machine

Each world has its own symbols. However, there are some common elements. These are the classic symbols (the card symbols, from J to A) as well as the premium symbols, which correspond to characters from the saga.

Each game section also has its own Wild symbol. These Wild symbols can be Stacked and duplicate from one space to another. Finally, each game section has its own Scatter symbol.

The bonuses of the Planet of the Apes slot machine

Here is an overview of the different game options (bonuses and features) that you can find on the Planet of the Apes slot machine by NetEnt.

The Rise Bonus

The Rise bonus is activated as soon as you collect the symbol corresponding to the “Rise” section, on the first reel of the game. This is an important symbol that allows you to collect game credits, provided, however, that a “Human” or “Ape” symbol appears on the screen.

The Dawn Bonus

The bonus of the Dawn section is activated as soon as it is revealed on the very last reel, which is on the right of the game grid. It allows you to transform apes and humans into identical symbols, to create winning combinations and therefore, allow you to generate winnings.

Free spins bonus

If you obtain 3 Scatter symbols, from one world or another, then you win free spins. Here again, two options will be available to you:

For a concrete example, consult Hugo Bets review.

• in Rise mode: the Wild symbols are collected and all are randomly placed on the grid during the last free spin (you will get 10 free ones)

• in Dawn mode: you are offered 15 free spins. With each new spin, you can collect Wild, Multiplier or Extra Spin symbols to hope to generate even higher returns.

The Dual Feature

The Dual feature is one of a kind. Before each new spin, a symbol will be randomly selected. If it is in its section, it will then remain where it is, becoming sticky. If it does not appear in the correct world, it will then be sent to the other side.

RTP and profitability of the Planet of the Apes slot machine

The Planet of the Apes slot machine has an RTP (return to player) of 96.33%. This is a redistribution rate that we find attractive. For 100 pounds played, in the long term, the game returns 96.33 to you (the rest being akin to the house edge).

With medium volatility, the slot machine is therefore paying. However, the maximum return is not necessarily the most interesting since it "only" reaches x3,000. Some slot machines are much more interesting (at x10,000 or even x20,000) but involve a volatility that is much higher.

The minimum bet, finally, on this slot machine is 0.01 pence. The maximum bet you can unlock and wager is 1 pound only. It is therefore an affordable slot machine that suits all budgets. An excellent point in our opinion.

How to test the Planet of the Apes slot machine?

The demonstration options are valid and available on all online casinos offering this slot machine. Do not hesitate to find out more and test it before playing with real money.
