Celsius bonus: the welcome pack over four deposits

This Celsius review draws on the casino's public pages (terms and conditions, bonus terms, responsible gambling, VIP club), on the data its interface loads without logging in (welcome offer text, VIP table, payment methods, games catalogue) and on three official registers: that of Anjouan Gaming, that of the Curaçao Gaming Authority and the blocking list of the Autorité nationale des jeux (ANJ). Everything was consulted on 3 October 2026. One point needs making from the outset: Celsius's terms and conditions prohibit registration by residents of France and access from French territory. We come back to this below.

Celsius promo code

8Fortuna has no promo code for Celsius, and the welcome pack does not require one: it is triggered by deposits. The site handles promotional codes in the player area (‘Promo codes’ section), reserved for one-off promotions or the VIP club. No public no deposit offer is available on registration. A Telegram competition promises 300 free spins, but it is a prize draw, not a guaranteed bonus.

The four tiers

The banners display a ‘550% bonus’. This figure adds up the percentages of four successive deposits, for an advertised total of ‘up to 2,000 €’:

The maximum bet with an active bonus is 5 € per spin. The general bonus terms add a second limit: never more than 10% of the available balance on a single spin, except for bets below 0.50 €. The minimum deposit to receive a bonus is 10 € or the equivalent, unless otherwise stated.

The wagering requirement explained with an example

The offer page sets the wagering at x40 without saying whether it applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus bonus. The general bonus terms, for their part, provide by default for x50 the deposit + the bonus. The difference changes a great deal. For a first deposit of 100 €, you receive a 100 € bonus. If the x40 applies to the bonus alone, you must wager 4,000 € before withdrawing. If it applies to the total, you need 8,000 €. With the general rule of x50 on the total, it rises to 10,000 €. Ask support which basis applies before accepting the offer.

Several practices are prohibited with a bonus: buying features (bonus buy), jackpot slots, bets covering 18 or more numbers at roulette, opposing bets and progressive betting systems such as the martingale. Player-versus-player ‘battles’ are closed until the welcome bonus has been used. An unplayed bonus expires after 20 days, unless otherwise stated. Overview of Celsius Casino

Celsius Casino presents itself as a cryptocurrency casino combined with a sports and esports betting site. The site's introductory text gives a launch in 2020; the responsible gambling page carries an update date of July 2021. The operator is Celsius Holdings N.V., a Curaçao company. The site exists in ten languages, including French, and both the interface and the legal pages are translated. In the event of a discrepancy, the English version of the terms prevails.

Celsius clearly targets players used to cryptocurrencies: balances in bitcoin, ether or stablecoins, in-house ‘original’ games (Plinko, blackjack, dice), leaderboard events, bonus battles between players and a VIP club that promises gifts and offline events. The site also accepts twelve conventional currencies, including the euro, the Canadian dollar and the Swiss franc.

Who can sign up?

This is the key point. Article 4.1.3 of the terms and conditions excludes residents of several countries, and anyone accessing the site from those countries: the United States, France and its territories, the Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom, Spain and Cyprus. The bonus terms publish another, much longer list, on which France does not appear: the two documents do not match. The catalogue file nevertheless confirms the restriction: 6,642 games are marked in it as blocked for France. Getting around these rules is prohibited, and the bonus terms provide for account closure and forfeiture of winnings if a VPN is used. This casino is not authorised in France, where the ANJ only licenses sports betting, horse racing betting and poker online.

The site adapts to phone screens and the menu offers an ‘iOS & Android app’ section. We have not checked whether these are apps published in the stores or an installable web shortcut: the corresponding page was not consulted.

Promotions, cashback and VIP club

Beyond the welcome pack, Celsius relies on rewards calculated on the player's activity rather than on conventional reload bonuses. Here is what the interface text publishes.

• Welcome cashback: 10% of net losses in the first 7 days after registration, paid in real money. Only slots and sports betting count; the live casino and table games are excluded.
• Daily reload: rakeback accumulated on bets, to be claimed once a day. A ‘boost’ raises this rate to 10% for 30 minutes, once every 12 hours, on slots.
• Weekly and monthly cashback: calculated on net real-money losses, excluding bonus funds, according to VIP level.
• Events and lotteries: seasonal tournaments and draws with a luxury car to be won. The last published lottery ran from 1 July to 30 September 2026.
• Sports betting: a 50% free bet up to 200 € on the first deposit, then a 20% ‘risk-free’ bet up to 500 € on the second, on odds from 1.01 to 2.00.

Thirty VIP levels

The VIP table returned by the API has 30 levels, from Rookie I to Whale V, grouped into six ranks. Instant rakeback ranges from 1% to 10%, weekly cashback from 2% to 15% and monthly cashback from 0% to 10%. The higher ranks give access to a personal manager and gifts. These figures do not match all the texts on the site: the editorial introduction and the affiliate page mention rakeback ‘up to 22%’, and a landing page mentions 35% cashback on weekly losses. We use the API table, which is the one the site displays to players.

Two rules limit these rewards. Rakeback paid daily, weekly or monthly is subject to a maximum withdrawal of 20 times its amount, unless otherwise stated. Winnings from free spins obtained without a deposit are capped at 100 €.

Games: a catalogue of more than 12,000 titles

The site loads its catalogue from a public file, which we counted on 3 October 2026. It lists 12,730 games spread across 98 providers. The list of providers returned by the API has 145 entries, but some are duplicates or studios with no games at all; we therefore use 98. The site's introductory text still mentions ‘more than 6,000’ slots and ‘nearly 70’ providers: these figures are out of date.

Slots

The most represented studios are Spinomenal (703 games), Pragmatic Play (669), Games Global (568), Play'n GO (481), Microgaming (439), Hacksaw Gaming (389) and Red Tiger (378). You will also find NetEnt, Relax Gaming, Nolimit City, Push Gaming, Wazdan, BGaming, Habanero, Betsoft and Novomatic. One slot bears the casino's name, ‘Le Celsius’, developed by Hacksaw Gaming. The file shows a return to player (RTP) rate for each game, which lets you compare before playing.

Live casino and table games

The live section relies on Evolution (460 games) and Pragmatic Play Live (519), supplemented by Ezugi, OneTouch Live and other studios. Roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game shows such as Crazy Time or Monopoly Live are included. The 140 digital table games cover the classic variants of roulette, blackjack and video poker.

Note: the number of games actually accessible depends on the country. The same file flags, for each title, the countries where it is blocked by the provider. For France, this applies to 6,642 games, more than half the catalogue.

Celsius withdrawals and deposits: methods, minimums and limits

Celsius's cashier combines cryptocurrencies and conventional methods. The list below covers the methods active in the public API; their availability varies according to the player's country, and the detailed cashier is only visible once logged in.

What the terms say

• Minimum withdrawal: 10 € per transaction, except on account closure.
• Prior wagering: a deposit must be wagered at least 3 times before any withdrawal.
• Limit: 10,000 € per month, reduced to 5,000 € if the balance exceeds 10 times total deposits. The bonus terms also allow winnings of up to 10,000 € to be spread over weekly payments of no more than 2,500 €, and larger winnings over monthly payments of 10,000 €.
• Fees: the cashier states that only network fees are charged, with no additional fees from the site.
• Method: withdrawals are made to the method used for the deposit, unless the casino agrees otherwise.
• Inactivity: 5 € per month deducted after twelve months without activity.

Timeframes and identity verification

Celsius highlights ‘instant withdrawals 24/7’. The interface messages specify that above the daily limit, the team approves the withdrawal manually ‘within 5 to 45 minutes’. No identity verification time is published. The terms allow the casino to request proof of identity, proof of address, a selfie or a video call, at any time. Some payment methods require verification before use, and the email address must be confirmed before a deposit in conventional currency. Customer support and responsible gambling

Support is provided via a chat built into the site, in the ‘Live support’ section, which works on a ticket basis. Several pages advertise it as available 24/7. The other channel is email, at support@celsiuscasino.com. Nowhere does the site promise support in French: the interface is translated, but the language of the advisers is not specified. There is no detailed help centre, only a short FAQ at the bottom of the home page and a few explanatory pages on bonuses and battles.

The terms and conditions give 3 days to dispute the settlement of a bet and 28 days for the casino to respond to a complaint. They name ‘Gaming Services Provider N.V.’, the former Curaçao licensing body, as the final recourse, even though the licence in force is issued by Anjouan. A clause in the bonus terms also allows a player to be penalised for ‘false or malicious comments’ published about the casino: it is unusual and worth knowing about.

Responsible gambling

The dedicated page, updated in July 2021, gives common-sense advice (set a budget and a time limit, do not chase losses) and refers to BeGambleAware. The only tool described is self-exclusion: you have to write to support choosing a period of 6 months to 5 years, which cannot be lifted before it ends. The terms and conditions also mention deactivating the account within 24 hours on simple request. No self-service deposit, loss or session limit tool is described on the pages consulted.

Operator, licence and security: is Celsius legit?

To judge whether Celsius is legit, we compared what the site displays with the official registers.

The operator

The footer and the terms name Celsius Holdings N.V., a company registered in Curaçao under number 157856, at Zuikertuintjeweg Z/N (Zuikertuin Tower), Willemstad. The old 8Fortuna listing cited ‘Starscream Limited’: none of the pages consulted mention this name, and we cannot say whether it was a former operator.

The licence

The footer displays the Anjouan Gaming seal. This regulator's public register, consulted on 3 October 2026, does list Celsius Holdings N.V. under number ALSI-152406052-FI4: a B2C licence, issued on 2 July 2024, valid until 1 July 2027, with ‘valid’ status, for the domains celsiuscasino.com and betting.club. This is the licence we use.

The terms and conditions have not kept up. They still advertise a Curaçao licence no. 365/JAZ issued by Gaming Services Provider N.V., one of the island's former master licence holders. Celsius does not appear on the OGL licence register published by the Curaçao Gaming Authority on 2 October 2026. Even the footer keeps an image titled ‘Gaming Curacao: Click to Validate’, which actually links to BeGambleAware. These remnants of the old regime do not call the Anjouan licence into question, but they muddy the information given to players, particularly on which body to approach in the event of a dispute.

What an Anjouan licence implies

An Anjouan licence certifies that an operator is registered with and monitored by this regulator. The requirements and the remedies available to players remain less extensive than those of a European authority such as the MGA. It confers no right to operate in France.

Situation in France

No Celsius address appears on the list of sites blocked by the ANJ consulted on 3 October 2026. This does not amount to authorisation: Celsius holds no ANJ licence, and its own terms exclude French residents. Our criteria are explained in detail in our casino review methodology.

Our Celsius review: the verdict

Celsius scores 8.6/10 on our data-based rating grid: bonus 3.5/5, payments 4.5/5, games 5/5, site and licence 4.5/5, support 4/5. As the Anjouan licence is in force on the register, no cap applies to the score.

Who is it for?

On paper, Celsius suits a player comfortable with cryptocurrencies, who is looking for a very wide choice of slots and regular cashback rather than a big bonus. Its score reflects the quality of the offering and the validity of its licence. But for a reader living in France, the question does not arise: the casino does not accept them under its own terms.
